The point I was making, though, was that his METHODS have not been published for peer review. This is important. Statistical analysis may show PC in a good light, but it’s fair to say that most don’t take scientists seriously unless they show a method that can be repeated and verified independently. I agree my criticism is anecdotal, but what I have read and seen hasn’t verified well enough for me to bother pursuing the matter further. I’m not a scientist, and I don’t have the free time to analyze every claim I feel may be inaccurate.

But that is my point. Is Francis a trained Scientist or not? Why can he not carry out a monitoring of the predictions Corbin makes and then comment on that analysis, saying how accurate he found the predictions to be, rather than arguing by an absurd “appeal to authority” and defaulting to the standard “oh, it is not peer reviewed”.

There is a difference between judging a result and a method. Methods can only be judged by peer review, via a paper where they are properly documented.
Anyway, this 85% accuracy seems like nonsense to me. I’ve read numerous forecasts of his that are way off the mark, or have such generous bounds for accuracy that it’s almost impossible to be wrong. I’d like to see a full rundown of the varification statistics to assess the validity of that claim, it seems somewhat dubious to say the least.

Francis claims that he cannot possibly make a judgement on Corbins method and results unless it appears in a peer reviewed journal. Why is that? Corbin claims to publish on his website regular forecasts. Why cant people like Francis monitor the forecasts and compare them to what happens? Why do they need a peer review before they will do a single thing for themselves? Are they children or trainded scientists?
