How do I re-tune my freeview box without the original remote?

I have a Wharfedale Freeview box, and need to do this big re-tune – but one of my housemates made off with my remote control last year.

I bought a replacement universal remote (a ‘Total control 4′), but can’t seem to call up the Freeview menu with it – even though I’ve tuned it in correctly so that all other functions (changing channels, volume and power) work correctly.

Is there any other way for me to re-tune?

do you know any one with the same box? would unplugging it and re-plugging it do the trick or worse? tried ebay for that model?
