WDTV doesn’t update …
WDTV doesn’t update its firmware as frequently as it needs to, and the machine is buggy. I purchased the WDTV version 2 model recently. Won’t play MP4 files with AAC audio without screwing up the sync, has similar issues with some MKV files. The older version played these files fine, so it’s clearly an issue with the firmware. There are better players out there where they actually keep the frikken thing up to date on the firmware end.
