How can i get a digibox to work without an arial cable?

I’m thinking about buying freeview for my bedroom and i wondered..

How can i get a freeview box to work if i dont have a lead for the big metal ariel thing which sits outside

could i buy an external ariel or something like that??

or what else could i do to improve the signal strength

If you live close to a transmitter, an indoor aerial might work, otherwise you need either an outdoor one, or possibly one in your loft.
