My son wanted to watch the footy today on Sky sports in his room. We have managed to do this before, but for some unknown reason didnt manage today!! we tried a few ways. We ran a cable with a scart on one end which we plugged into the sky and the other end had 3 jacks, red white and yellow, which we plugged into the side of my sons tv. Didnt work, we then swapped it around that didnt work either. Any suggestions please.
We watched it downstairs, and he wanted to watch the same channel upstairs. He does not want to view a different channel, as we know we would have to then purchase multiroom. It is mainly when football is on. He wants to watch it in his room with his mates.
There is a wireless device which connects to the aerial socket at the back of TV2 and TV 2 has its own sky remote control…only trouble is, you can only watch the same channel on both sets…unless you get another sky box…can’t remember what the device is called, but costs about £20 plus the cost of the remote control
The expensive way. Sorry!

Easiest way is to run a normal coax cable from the back of your digi box with both male and female connectors to your sons telly. On the back of your Sky box you have got two (i think they are called) RS out sockets one where you plug an ariel lead which runs to the back of your telly or video recorder and the other which you can run a second tv off!!
Plug one end of your extended ariel cable into your sky box and the other into your sons telly tune it in to the desired channel and hey presto you have sky on a second telly for a fraction of the price.

This is how I have run my Sky Tv into my bedroom for several years now without any problems
What you need is called a Magic Eye. The instructions are easy to follow. You need to run a co-ax cable from the back of the sky box to the tv upstairs. This should cost about £8-£12,( Shop around). And you need another hand set, all in it should come to about £20.
We got ours from a hardware shop.
Found the instructions it says How to instal your tv Link. You could try B&Q, I believe they sell them there.

It sounds as if you had it but failed to change the input selector on the tv.
