I’m 14, I have lots of cash, and want to subscribe to setanta on freeview. My mum and dad do not want to have a direct debit, is it possible to pay with cash or is there another way?

We just recently updated to sky HD, and I’d like to use the old sky box in my kitchen as a freeview box with a digital aerial – but not a satellite dish. Is this possible? And how do you change the settings o the sky system if it is possible?

sorry this isn’t possible but for an extra tenner you can get all the same channels on your sky package (except hd ones of course

I have a Wharfedale Freeview box, and need to do this big re-tune – but one of my housemates made off with my remote control last year.

I bought a replacement universal remote (a ‘Total control 4′), but can’t seem to call up the Freeview menu with it – even though I’ve tuned it in correctly so that all other functions (changing channels, volume and power) work correctly.

Is there any other way for me to re-tune?

do you know any one with the same box? would unplugging it and re-plugging it do the trick or worse? tried ebay for that model?

Hi, I am missing a few channels on my freeview box since the digital switchover. They are channels such as ITV, 4 and e4. I have tried searching through the channels as if I had only just got the box a few times but it hasn’t worked. How can I retrieve the missing channels? Thanks.

I don’t think they’re transmitting in your region yet.

That’s why autoprogramming your TV set didn’t pick up the channels.

Now if you can’t get it….you can’t get it.
If your friends CAN get it, then YOU need some serious work on your aerial system.

Our tumble dryer seems to be the cause of interference on our Freeview digital television decoder. As the drum changes direction, we get sound and picture interruption. Both are on the same ground floor socket ring-main. What would you recommend, please?:
- Fit some gadget to the tumble dryer plug?
- Or switch to a suppressed trailing 4-way socket for the TV equipment?
Also, could these spikes be causing slow or hidden damage to any other equipment? Fridge; laptops; other circuits, upstairs, etc?

Its probably radio interference no harm just a nuisance , a suppressor across phase and neutral before the motor will solve the problem

I’m thinking of buying a new tv, but all I can find are tv’s that already have freeview integrated in them. So I’m asking whether I could add a normal freeview box to a tv that has freeview already integrated, or would they clash with each other?

Also, does anyone know if the freeviews that come integrated in the tv’s have as many channels as a normal freeview box has?

Forget the box, if your aerial is OK then the set will receive all channels on Freeview.
But you could rig the box to a VCR and record from it whilst you watch another channel on the TV.
